Karen E. Kennedy, M.D. obtained her
Bachelor of Science degree from the
College of Pharmacy, Rutgers University.
She then attended Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School in New Jersey for her
medical doctorate. She did a one year
Transitional Residency at Jersey Shore
Medical Center and then a residency in
Obstertrics and Gynecology in Pensacola
associated with the University of
Florida.
She is the only gynecologist in the
panhandle certified by the American
Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine for
performing gynecologic ultrasounds.
Holding licensure as a registered
pharmacist in Florida and New Jersey,
Dr. Kennedy also has current medical
licenses in Florida, Alabama and New
Jersey. She worked as a pharmacist for
six years and worked in group practice
in obstetrics and gynecology in Mobile
before starting her solo practice in
Pensacola.
Dr. Kennedy strives for the best in
women’s preventive care as well as
preventive issues in adolescents and
teens. She addresses family planning
issues, pre-menopausal needs and
post-menopausal care at her practice.
Dr. Kennedy was born in New Jersey,
is married and enjoys outdoor activities
such as snow skiing, kayaking and
hiking. She also enjoys spending time
with her cat.
