bio

Julie Hayden Maloney is an executive coach, teacher and author with 17 years of experience in leadership development and organizational change. She specializes in working with leaders in transition, from green (high potentials) to great (high achievers).

Her past and present client list includes Microsoft Corporation, Merck & Company, The CocaCola Company, AT&T, Spectrum Health, and Meredith Publishing. Julie’s background includes management positions in The CocaCola Company, Ernst & Young
and entrepreneurial startups.

She holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from Brown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola University of New Orleans. Julie is an accredited member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and serves on the board of directors of the Professional Coaches Association of Michigan (PCAM).

In her work, Julie serves a group of high potentials who are widely underestimated: the fifty million plus American women currently passing through midlife transitions. These women have seen, done, and juggled it all in their careers and home lives. But now begins their time. As they enter perimenopause/menopause, these high potentials embark upon a heroine’s journey – a path of physical, emotional and spiritual transformation into the best that they are meant to be. Julie believes the day has come to forget the myth of midlife women on the decline and open our eyes to the reality of women who are just ramping up. Julie’s message is that the rewards are great for every woman who steps consciously onto that road: richer selfworth; rediscovery of unique passions and talents; excitement of new dreams and opportunities; and the collective power of new allies and ever-deepening friendships.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia Julie now lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her husband and best friend, Kevin, and her two stepdaughters, who make her laugh and make her proud. Julie is currently hiking across the passage of midlife herself and rediscovering old passions (home, nature travel, hiking, snowshoeing, yoga and music) and finding new ones (photography) along the way. She has no idea where she is going to end up.
